a norwegian blue (!) slanty i bought from the bradenton craigslist for $70 and gas money:)
obviously, while a great color, the horrible cobalt paint has got to go: i’ll be spending spring break getting it gone. finnsheep has almost her twin, painted in proper blue.
i can use it for a guide, although i may change up the shade a bit…
but most importantly. it has forced me to take mystery back down, so i can replace bonnie on the perch. maybe i can bring myself to try again.

I think you should paint this on canvas before you tone it down. While I couldn't "live" with the electric blue either, it looks almost Fauvist in your pix.
it's not so much the color, which i love, it's the really truly horrible paint job: looks lie somebody poured paint over it and then threw sand on it. or something. i have manipulated this photo (as always), of course.
btw, your comment prompted me to change the name of the post!
i'm worried that the mystery wheel is ruining spinning for you. i will bring my little wheel to the folk school, and/or to asheville, and we will get you spinning!
